I actually decided to scrub the post early. As much as I need to rant right now, I don’t think a public format really is the place. Regardless, thanks for your help!
Anyway, so with that out of the way, I think in the long run this will be better for the both of us. I have a plan in place, I already even have a roomie (I’ll refer to her as “Miss Dodge” if the need arises lol) and our move date is set to first week of August. My family wants to move the big and expensive stuff out of the apartment tomorrow. I’m okay with that, it’ll give me peace of mind.
To those who didn’t see the post. I broke up with Miss Tesla, things went south, and I signed a 30 day notice that breaks the lease for both of us. A chapter in life is closing.
With that in mind, I want to do something fun this time around. Instead of getting a Transit I want to test how well Tucker can tow. Does any Chicago Oppo have a small trailer I can borrow? Looks like shop-teacher’s finally died. lol
Have some images of smarts towing things for your time

Last week I learned that I can indeed fit into a smart, at 6'4" I was not sure, but seemed maybe 1-inch more and it would be the same leg extension as my mazda.

You know you can rent one for like $25 and save yourself a bunch of hassle.

I was thinking about it :) Besides I wouldn’t have to drive everywhere either.

Not anymore :( Weird thing is that either I’m no longer feeling the heartbreak, or life is moving too fast for me to have any lasting feelings.

Honestly, you’d be better off doing that. I bet the tires on this el cheapo special are garbage and probably not highway worthy.

I might get a 5x8 one now that I’m thinking about it. The Europeans tow just over 1k with these things (everything from other vehicles to small campers) and I’m curious how it would even perform with that much weight.

I’m sure it’ll do fine around town. Just take it easy, and be sure to leave lots of extra braking room. I had 3000 pounds or so of dirt in my truck last week (the same dirt I killed my trailer with), and at one point wasn’t paying close enough attention for the load I was carrying, and had to stab the brakes. The tail tried to wag the dog, and some poo came out. You don’t want that in something with a 28" wheelbase :)

I missed that trailer by an hour, so I got nothin’ in the utility trailer department.
